Who We Are:
In 1994 Critter Nanny first came into being as a dream of Jim and Nancy. We started as a "Doggy Daycare" in Colorado. Our guests, who we refer to as kids, came to visit us for daily playtime and as their home away from home while their humans were on vacation. We also hosted birthday parties, moving away and coming back parties, and even "just because" parties. We quickly outgrew our facility, as well as arriving at a change in our lives.
In 2001 we moved to Mulino, Oregon onto 8.27 acres. Here our dream of a "Four Paws Resort" was able to become a reality. From the love and sastisfaction that we get from caring for all of our four-legged friends, we have created a custom-designed, two-story lodge for our kids to reside in comfort while their humans are away. Complete with sky-lights and radiant-floor heating everything was built with your loved one in mind.
Kitty Boarding:
Kitties on vacation at Critter Nanny enjoy a calm and tranquil environment to rest-up and rejuvenate. Their area is complete with toys and areas to snuggle, kitty friendly movies on the television, window seats to survey their kingdom, laser lights to chase, and lots of interaction with Nancy. Kitties thrive in this environment and many veterinarians have referred "special needs" kitties to us for care.
Dog Boarding:
Critter Nanny realizes that one size does not fit all when it comes to dogs. We tailor a vacation to specifically fit your dogs needs. Our play areas are nestled among the pines with views of Mount Hood, and designed with a rollicking good time in mind.
For the lap chap, couch potato, grey beard and tiny tots we have a play area designed for their needs. We also place them into play groups that suit their needs and tastes. If they are hesitant with other dogs, we can either give them play time on their own or pair them with an appropriate friend. Maybe they are more suited to a nice snuggle and ear rub on Jim's lap, or an afternoon in the sun while relaxing on their bed.
For the movers and shakers we have large play areas where they can run amok to their hearts content. We can organize playgroups so they can wrestle and romp with others with an assortment of heavy duty play toys. We keep plenty on hand so there are enough to go around!
We do not provide grooming services, so have the bathtub ready. Despite keeping our play areas well-drained and as mud-free as Oregon allows, dogs will be dogs!
